About Tripura Public Service Commission

The provision for the constitution of the Public Service Commission was first incorporated under Article 96C of the Government of India Act,1919. Thereafter in 1923 ‘Lee Commission’ was constituted for the purpose of formulating the principles/terms and conditions of the Public Service Commission. Subsequently, as per recommendations of the ‘Lee Commission’ Federal Public Service Commission was established in India for the first time, on 1st October 1926. Lee Commission also recommended for establishment of Provincial Public Service Commissions. Tripura Public Service Commission was established on 30th October 1972, under the provisions of Article 315 of the Constitution of India. Sri G.P.Bagchi was the first Chairman and Sri I.K.Roy was the first Member of the Tripura Public Service Commission. The Commission is, at present, located at the old Assembly House of Tripura, at Akhaura Road, Agartala.

About Bihar PHED:

The improvement of potable water and sanitation facilities and services is essential to improve public health and improve the results of human development, especially for rural households. Although the state of Bihar has achieved impressive results in providing safe drinking water for its rural households, additional improvements are needed in terms of quantity, quality, equity, and sustainability. In addition, there is an urgent need to improve sanitation, especially for people living in rural areas. To address these problems in a coherent, concerted, and urgent manner, new initiatives should be taken in mission mode. The new sustainable water supply and sanitation programs must be implemented in a timely manner, as well as their operation and maintenance. Community participation is also required at all stages, from planning and execution to the operation and maintenance of these systems.

To do this, there should be a systematic approach in promoting broad partnerships with stakeholders and the convergence of priorities and actions of stakeholders; plan and implement high-quality efforts in capacity building and information, education, and communication (IEC), in particular, efforts to increase community awareness and participation at all stages; monitoring, evaluation and sound learning devices; and identify and disseminate technological options adapted to local realities.

The overall goal of the BSWSM will be to improve the quality of life of rural citizens by improving access to improved and sustainable facilities and services for water supply and sanitation in rural areas. It will act as an autonomous body to implement, coordinate, and monitor the implementation of activities/projects related to rural water supply, sanitation, and solid waste management. And liquids and hygiene.
