Mandatory Qualifications

Graduate Degree with –

(a)  Professional certification in Financial Risk Management from Global Association of Risk Professionals,

 

OR

 

(b)  Professional Risk Management Certification from PRMIA Institute,

 

OR

 

(c) Two years’ experience as CRO in such regulated lender(s) in respect of which there is regulatory requirement of appointing CRO with Board approval.

 

 

 

Desirable Qualifications

(a)  Holder of Chartered Financial Analyst charter awarded by CFA Institute, or

 

(b)   Designated as Chartered Accountant by the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India or equivalent abroad, or

 

(c)  Designated as a Cost and Management Accountant by the Institute of Cost Accountant of India or equivalent abroad

 

 

Mandatory Experience

Five years experience in Corporate Credit and Risk Management at the level of Assistant General Manager or above in one or more Public Sector Banks, or having similar roles and responsibilities in one or more regulated lending entity with a balance sheet size of more than Rs 5 lakh crores with minimum experience of one year in corporate credit and one year in risk management.

 

 

Desirable Experience

Good understanding of credit risk, market risk and / or liquidity management and / or operational risk, with exposure to analytics.

Age

Minimum 45 years and Maximum 57 years as on 01.07. 2020

Job profile

The Chief Risk Officer (CRO) shall be responsible for the overall Risk Management Function of the Bank. Brief Job profile is detailed below:

·         Lead the integrated Risk Management (IRM) initiatives at the Bank

·         Actively participate in the executive level RMC and provide inputs on the developments, initiatives taken under each risk stream

·         Serve as a link with higher authorities for Risk Management Purpose between the Board level RMC and executive level RMC for policy, procedures and framework signoff, and Board for final approval.

·         Advisor to Top management by offering broad insights and expertise.

·         Set capital limits for industry, segment, single loan as a percentage of capital, set up loss limits for NPA, credit cost and set limits on the basis of capital available and net growth.

·         Allocate capital based on risk – risk based LCR impact on the loan/credit facility, identifying the expected credit loss provisions.

·         Ascertain risk adjustment to yields on Treasury income and assessing of profitability net of risk.

·         Formulate stress testing portfolio to adjust capital allocations, connected lending, EWS to factor results of stress testing.

 

 

·         Standardise risk vocabulary to identify common risks

·         Identify common casual factors to remediate risks across processes and assess combined impact risk (Risk of unauthorised activity across functions improper reconciliation between systems.)

·         Implement process to identify new risks through market research to test feasibility for new product launch and undertake rigorous testing before signoff on implementation of a system.

·         Simulate crisis scenario to test BCP for IT and beyond, and also define crisis management response plan.

·         Approve reports of capital adequacy return and present to executive level RMC.

·         Approve vendor evaluation for model validation, data warehousing, loss database, capital calculation and presenting the reports to higher Committees and obtaining final sign off from the Board level RMC and the Board

·         Review performances of credit assessment models and presenting the reports to RMC

·         Review and approve all reports presented by specific risk teams (such as credit, market, operation and ERM cell) from time to time

·         Liaison with RMCs to coordinate flow of information and escalate risks to next level on immediate basis.

·         Be responsible for placing OMs /notes to various committees of the Board and to Board with due recommendation

·         Release payment to vendors within General Manager’s non lending powers

·         Organise the executive Risk Management Committee meeting

i.e CRMC, ALCO, ORMC etc.

·         All other roles and responsibilities as prescribed by Reserve Bank of India / Board of the Bank from time to time

 

 

Remuneration

 

Remuneration will be market-linked and will not be a limiting factor for a suitable candidate and can be negotiated. Other terms and conditions of engagement will be as per the provisions of contract and are negotiable.

3. Eligibility Criteria:

(i) Applicant should possess MBBS degree of any University recognized by the Medical Council of India in the Allopathic system of medicine.

(ii) Applicant having Master’s Degree in General Medicine may also apply.

(iii) Applicant should have a minimum of 2 (two) years post qualification experience practicing Allopathic system of medicine in any hospital or clinic as Medical Practitioner.

(iv) Applicant should have his/her dispensary or place of residence within a radius of 2-5 km from the Bank’s dispensaries.

4. Remuneration, duty hours and other conditions:

(i) During the period of contract, a remuneration of Rs.1000/- per hour will be paid. Out of the monthly remuneration so payable, a sum of Rs.1000/- per month will be treated as conveyance expenses. No other facilities/perks will be payable to the MC engaged on contract basis.

(ii) The engagement is purely on contract basis. No superannuation benefits viz. Pension, Provident Fund or Gratuity will be payable for the engagement. No leave, perquisites/facilities would be admissible. If required to attend to the Dispensary on any public holiday, compensation @ Rs.1000/- per hour would be paid.

(iii) Remuneration will be paid as per the actual duty hours performed and will be all inclusive.

(iv) RBI reserves the right to review the rate of remuneration from time to time, change the duty hours as well as the dispensary at its discretion, in case it becomes expedient for administrative and operational requirements. Due to change of the dispensary, the number of working hours of the MC may change accordingly.

(v) Contract for engagement will be for a period of three years. There will not be any renewal of engagement on completion of the contract period.

i) Selection will be made through interview of eligible candidates. IBPS Recruitment Exam 2020 for Specialist Officers The online examination (Preliminary and Main) for the next Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for selection of personnel in Specialist Officers’ cadre posts listed below in the Participating Organisations is tentatively scheduled in December 2020/ January 2021.

Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join any of the Participating Organisations listed at (A) as one of the Specialist Officers’ post, is required to register for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP SPL-X). The examination will be two tier

i.e. the online examination will be held in two phases, Online Preliminary and Online Main. Candidates who will qualify in Online Preliminary Examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Online Main Examination and shortlisted candidates in the Online Main examination will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and co-ordinated by the Nodal Bank. Depending on the final vacancies to be filled in during the financial year 2021-22 based on the business needs of the Participating Organisations and as reported to IBPS, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Organisations keeping in view the spirit of Govt. Guidelines on reservation policy, administrative convenience, etc. The validity for CRP SPL-X will automatically expire at the close of business on 31.03.2022 with or without giving any notice.

I. Recruitment in Participating Organizations is a dynamic process which depends upon restriction imposed, business volume, business growth, health of the organizations, branch expansion, internal and external factors, structural changes etc. Vacancies mentioned here are indicative and anticipated as communicated by the participating organisations. However, Provisional allotment will be made based on the actual vacancies reported by the participating organisations.

This system of Common Recruitment Process Online Preliminary and Online Main Examination, Common Interview and provisional allotment for recruitment of Specialist Officers posts in Participating Organisations has the approval of the appropriate authorities.

IBPS, an autonomous body, has received a mandate from the organisations mentioned at (A) below, to conduct the recruitment process as mentioned above, once a year. IBPS will make arrangements for conducting online preliminary examination, declare result of Online Preliminary Examination, inform the shortlisted candidates about the online main examination, declare the results of the Online Main Examination and inform the shortlisted candidates about the interview. Interviews will be conducted by the participating organisations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each state/ UT. Prospective candidates will have to apply to IBPS after carefully reading the advertisement regarding the process of examinations, interview and provisional allotment, eligibility criteria, online registration processes, payment of prescribed application fee/ intimation charges, pattern of examination, issuance of call letters etc. and ensure that they fulfil the stipulated criteria and follow the prescribed processes.

  • a Citizen of India or
    • a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

In case of dual specialisations, one of the fields of specialisation should be in the field prescribed. Proper document from Board / University for having declared the result on or before 23.11.2020 has to be submitted at the time of interview. The date of passing the eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the mark-sheet or provisional certificate issued by University / Institute. In case the result of  a particular examination is posted on the website of the University / Institute and web based certificate is issued then proper document/certificate in original issued and signed by the appropriate authority of the University / Institute indicating the date of passing properly mentioned thereon will be reckoned for verification and further process.

Candidate should indicate the percentage obtained in Graduation calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online application. Where CGPA / OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into percentage and indicated in online application. If called for interview, the candidate will have to produce a certificate

issued by the appropriate authority inter alia stating that the norms of the University regarding conversion of grade into percentage and the percentage of marks scored by the candidate in terms of norms.

Calculation of Percentage: The percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks (in all the subjects irrespective of honours / optional / additional optional subject, if any) multiplied by 100. This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class / Grade is decided on basis of Honours marks only.

The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.

How to Apply/ Application Procedure

Pre-Requisites for Applying Online

Before applying online, candidates should—

  • scan their :
    • photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm)
    • left thumb impression (If a candidate is not having left thumb, he/she may use his/ her right thumb. If both thumbs are missing, the impression of one of the fingers of the left hand starting from the forefinger should be taken. If there are no fingers on the left hand, the impression of one of the fingers of the right hand starting from the forefinger should be taken. If no fingers are available, the impression of left toe may be taken.
